Feel it now
The cold scab collecting
Over a wound
I kept bleeding
For reasons
No longer understood

Hardened nerves
Once carrying
Signals of distress
Between heart and mind
Have lost connection
Where the nothing
Now grows

I am blind
Deaf and detached
I am a vine discarding fruit
And looming over
Predictable rot

While another season
Awaits my rebirth
A chance seed remains
