The smell of death
Is impossible to stomach
Yet still we lay here
A couple
Of negatively charged magnets
Stuck to the mattress
Outside
An ochre moon wanes
Between stagnant clouds
The wind rattles the branches
Of a thorn tree
Through the glass
A flame point siamese
Ingests our daily evolution
With graceful indifference
